Mark your calendars with the dates of the 2020 GMC Great Lakers rallies shown on the 2020 Rally Schedule . Rally details are currently not available, but you should save the dates to make sure that you don’t create a conflict as you make your plans for next year.
We currently do not have a club rally scheduled during July 2020. If you have ideas for a rally location or would like to host a rally, contact anyone on the board.

GREAT LAKERS CENTRAL LUNCH BUNCH – Now that the camping and rally season is over and most of our coaches have been put to bed for the winter, it’s time for the Great Lakers Central Lunch Bunch to resume our monthly gatherings to enjoy some good food and swap stories.
We will meet at the Ruby Tuesdays in Angola, IN, the second Tuesday of each month from November 2019 through April 2020. Ruby Tuesday is located at 2304 N. Wayne Street, Angola, IN. Their phone number is (260) 665-8791
Our first gathering will be Tuesday, November 12 at 12:30 PM EST. Following lunch dates will be December 10, January 14, February 11, March 10, and April 14.

Joe Gillen reported to me that he tried to make a camping reservation at Traverse Bay RV Resort and he was told that they have a minimum motorhome length requirement of 28 feet, making any un-stretched GMC ineligible! If you have any similar experiences of a GMC being dis-allowed because of age, length or whatever, pass on the particulars and I’ll share with your fellow members.
A new update to the membership directory has been posted in the “Members” area. It includes four additional members since the previous update in June.

A new page “Salvage and Surplus” has been added under the “Resources” tab. It is a list of businesses that specialize in RV salvage and surplus items. Several of these are not far from Shipshewana so you may want to check them out on your way to or from the June rally, or go exploring while at the rally. Thanks to Tom Dixon for the initial list and Marv Miller for helping get accurate up-to-date status.

GREAT LAKERS CENTRAL LUNCH BUNCH

GREAT LAKERS BLUE WATER LUNCH BUNCH
For those of you near Southeast Michigan, there is also the Blue Water lunch bunch. Their next luncheon will be held at the Golden Coral located at 4783 24th Ave., Fort Gratiot, MI on Thursday November 8, 2018 at 11.00 AM. I believe they meet on the first Thursday of the month year round. Contact Bill Helmore for more information.

Eventually, this “Home” page will be the spot to announce the posting of new information and link you directly to it. So, if you check here periodically, I hope to keep you completely up-to-date.
